Hiiiiiiii

I’m Katy Carlisle (she/her) but people call me the Squarespace Queen, probably because I’ve been using it to make websites since 2013 and I’m kind of obsessed.

Before that, I worked in the non-profit world and bring insights from that experience to my web design projects.

I’m also part of an exclusive (and ridiculously lovely) group of people who are Squarespace Circle Community Leaders. This means I get to have regular calls with the Squarespace team to get previews of new features and provide feedback.

Sustainability projects and campaigns

I’ve worked or volunteered at sustainability-focused organisations for a lot of my career. As a keen surfer and swimmer I’m especially passionate about initiatives to help our oceans.
Feminism and women's support services

Let’s be clear, I’m not including gender-critical “feminism” in this. No TERFs here please. And yes, if you identify as a man I will happily still work with you as long as your values align with mine. Hate the patriarchy game, not all its players.
Animal welfare initiatives

I have a dog and three cats and think animals are the best. It would be too risky for me to work at our local SPCA so please let me help your animals instead when there’s less of a chance of me accidentally bringing one home.
Mental health services

I’ve been open about my own struggles with anxiety and so know first hand how important it can be to have organisations that support people who are struggling with their mental health.
2SLGBTQIA+ support

This is a safe space with zero-tolerance for intolerance. Homophobia and transphobia have no place here. As an ally to the queer community I would love to help with your project whilst centring your experience.
